How do you like to unwind after a long run?

Ideally with a coffee or beer while sitting outside chatting with friends

What do you tell yourself when you feel like you are going to hit a wall when running?

I remind myself that discomfort is part of the process when you’re pushing to get better at something, then I usually change the song on my Spotify :)

What’s your advice for a non runner who wants to join us?

Rome wasn’t built in a day; start small with whatever distance you can handle at first and don’t worry about the pace; apps like Strava are fun for tracking your progress

Why are you running to support the Maddie Kate Fund?

Rob Smart is a friend and co-worker of mine and it’s been amazing to see the work he and his family have put in to grow the Maddie Kate Fund over the past several years; when the MKF Run Club opportunity came up I jumped at the chance to get involved; it’s great to be able to support Maddie’s memory and a good cause while promoting exercise and self-improvement

Tell us something about you that we wouldn’t know otherwise?

I have a metal plate in my left wrist and a rod in my humerus after learning the tough snowboarding lesson years ago that I’m not Shaun White; not to worry I still love to ride
