3 Ways You Can Help

  • Fundraiser Extraordinare

Whether an experienced runner or you’re taking on your first long run, you share in common a joy for raising money for a good cause. Your goal for the October 2, 2022 Maine Marathon is $200, but we’re guessing you’ll quickly exceed that expectation!

  • Badass Team Captains

In addition to enjoying raising money for good causes, you also love to get others involved. Team Captains have a goal of raising $1000 for the October 2, 2022 Maine Marathon, which they’ll easily achieve from their donors and recruited runners (adds $200 each).

  • Generous Donor

At the end of the day, our donors make it possible for The Maddie Kate Fund to do its thing, so we welcome every one of you to donate anytime up to the October 2, 2022 Maine Marathon. Of course, there is no running required (but the more the merrier).

3 Simple Steps

  • 1. Register

We’ve created a simple “How To” guide to help you register for the Maine Marathon and set up your RunSignup page, your official fundraising page. Just click the button below and we’ll email you the guide to make things as easy as possible. Or visit this page if you’re ready to go!

  • 2. Recruit

There are a couple nice rewards that come with your hard work raising funds and recruiting runners. First, once you hit your $200 goal, the Maine Marathon will discount your registration fee to its early bird price. Second, when you share your RunSignup personal referral code with others who use it to register for the Maine Marathon, you’ll receive a partial refund on your registration fee.

  • 3. Train

The MKF Run Club will not initially coordinate group runs, so we’re encouraging you to join one of these established Portland-area running clubs offering runs most days: @oldportpubrun (+ @Liquid_Riot for a cold beer), @runawaysrunclub, @portlandwestendrunning or @FleetFeetMaine Run Club. Click to follow us on Instagram, where you’ll find these and other great groups.

  • BONUS: Celebrate

While Maddie was never that into running (like at all), she absolutely loved celebrating. Big things. Little things. Everyday things. So, as you train for whichever distance you’ll be running and fundraise in support of The Maddie Kate Fund, celebrate your big, little and everyday things with each other and with us on Instagram.
