The Maddie Kate Fund is an endowed fund available to people wanting to show their appreciation for the outstanding care they received from oncology and critical care nurses and clinicians.

Supporting the advancement of cancer and critical care nurses and clinicians

There is an ever-present need at cancer hospitals across the country to bring the latest oncology and critical care training to nurses and clinicians who are working hard every day to ensure cancer patients and their caregivers receive the best care possible. The Maddie Kate Fund’s focus is on increasing access to such training and easing the financial burden for the talented and dedicated staff at these hospitals.

As someone who has also suffered the loss of a family member to cancer, I know first-hand how important it can be to look for ways to honor their memory by making a positive impact worthy of their legacy.
— Eliza Warren Giberson, Leadership Gift Officer, Maine Medical Center

We are deeply committed to the continuing education for nurses in the fields of oncology and critical care, with an emphasis on education for inter-professional clinical teams in which nurses play an integral role.
